If you’re here, you’re wondering how to multiclass in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. After about five to 10 hours of play, you finally get the option to take on a second Fatemaker class. Here’s what you need to know.
How to Multiclass and Complete the Emotion of the Ocean Quest in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
You earn the ability to multiclass in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands as a reward for progressing the main story through the Emotion of the Ocean quest, the fifth quest in the campaign.
To complete Emotion of the Ocean and unlock the ability to multiclass, head to the Weepwild Dankness as you search for a bard to bless your ship before crossing the ocean to the Dragon Lord’s fortress. The bard in question is, somehow, Mr. Torgue, the explosion-loving, always-censored tough guy with a heart of gold.
Travel through the Dankness empowering Torgue’s out-of-tune lute, picking up sidequests along the way, until you reach the Banshee boss fight.
Defeat Banshee to release the Punch Fairy, as portrayed by Brick from the mainline Borderlands series. The Punch Fairy will then complete the restoration of Torgue’s lute. As thanks, Torgue agrees to return to Brighthoof and bless your boat, putting you one step closer to being able to multiclass.
At this point, in Emotion of the Ocean, you can return to Brighthoof immediately or continue exploring the Overworld. We recommend going back immediately, as the finale of Emotion of the Ocean opens up much more of the map without forcing you to progress.
Torgue will be waiting for you at the Brighthoof docks for as long as needed. When you return, your support party members Valentine and Frette will have a minor spat, not unlike those found at real-life roleplaying game tables. To restore party unity, Torgue demands a concert. You’ll need to summon three instruments using the green outlines that appear as Torgue calls for them.
Finishing the concert in Emotion of the Ocean sees the party reconcile, and Torgue, too full of Emotion to allow anything less, nukes the ocean. With multiple missiles. Following a tidal wave that should have leveled everything in its path, the way north along the seafloor opens up, as well as the ability to multiclass.
That’s the end of the Emotion of the Ocean quest. Not long after Torgue composes himself, a tutorial menu will pop up saying you now have access to a second class. Which you choose depends on your current build and its easy compatibility with the first class you picked.
