Even with the impromptu firing range in Brighthoof, there’s no bespoke way to test your build. Instead, you’ll need to go out into the world or into specific activities to see how your damage measures up.

This guide will go over two of the best ways to test out your build in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Two Great Ways to Test Your Build in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

It’s good practice to start testing your build’s effectiveness before endgame to get a handle on what works for you and better understand your class’s abilities. When you do beat the campaign, you can use the same testing sites as you increase your Chaos Rank, plus putting yourself through the Chaos Chamber ringer as many times as you like.

Method 1: Kill Your Favorite Boss Forever

Once you defeat one of the many boss enemies in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, you can fight them again as many times as you like by making your way to their arena and reloading your character from the main menu. Descend into the arena again, and the boss will be back, ready for another round. It’s a fairly effective way to test your build.

There’s liable to be one or more bosses you enjoyed fighting during the campaign, and there are a few hiding in side quests. One of the most consistent ways to test your build is to fight your preferred boss repeatedly.

The best options are close to a respawn point, so you don’t spend half your run time running to the boss themselves. Some options that fit this criteria are:

Banshee Parasite LeChance Zomboss Dragon Lord Knight Mare

Later game bosses tend to have immunity phases, making the fastest kills all but impossible. Solid builds can trigger the phase transition quickly, but Dragon Lord, Knight Mare, and others still have animations and sequences that must play out that are currently impossible to skip.

My personal favorite boss for build testing is Zomboss. She doesn’t have too much loot I want, but that’s not why I fight her. She has two health bars, a smallish arena for constant action, and can take enough damage that I don’t instantly melt her with a less-than-optimal setup.

While your ultimate goal in the Wonderlands endgame is to make it to Chaos Rank 20 as quickly as possible. If you’re unsure your current build isn’t up to the task or want to try something a little more predictable, the Featured Run in the Chaos Chamber is always the same, with the same mid and end bosses. Gearbox changes the playlist up every few weeks, but the encounters will not change once set.

The minibosses are a mix of campaign and sidequest encounters (Freezicles, etc.) and Obelisk encounters (Lissia, Pigwart, etc.). The final encounter is always a campaign boss, so the likes of Banshee, Parasite, Dragon Lord, and so on. Even the trash mob fights and side objectives are the same, so if you want a good way to test your build’s mobbing efficiency, the Featured Run is also a good place to start.

Your goal here is to complete the run as quickly as you can. Optimized builds tend to be around 8-10 minutes or so, provided they don’t fight the hidden Raid bosses. Your tests shouldn’t take more than 15. If you’re finding it takes 15 or more minutes to complete a featured run, take a look at your gear to see where you can add some damage or ability uptime.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands doesn’t have a New Game Plus mode yet, and there’s no way to replay main or side missions; the above methods of testing your build are two of the most consistent. Hopefully, Gearbox will add something geared specifically toward damage testing.

Farming bosses is part of the game, so why not use them to test your build? Don’t forget that you can respec your setup at any time for a fee of 10% of your total gold, so you’ll almost always have the opportunity to try out new things.
