In a recent blog post, Activision’s James Mattone said that the Warehouse level will be available starting August 14 across PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via Epic Games). The demo will feature only one skater, though: Tony Hawk himself.
The blog post also confirmed that the game’s roster will increase from 13 skaters to 21, with more contemporary pros joining the mix. When the game was announced, the roster only included legacy skaters from the original releases of THPS and THPS2.
As of this writing, the complete list of skaters includes:
Tony Hawk Bucky Lasek Steve Caballero Geoff Rowley Andrew Reynolds Elissa Steamer Chad Muska Eric Koston Rodney Mullen Rune Glifberg Kareem Campbell Jamie Thomas Bob Burnquist Lizzie Armanto Leo Baker Leticia Bufoni Riley Hawk Nyjah Huston Tyshawn Jones Aori Nishimura Shan O’Neill
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered was announced earlier this year during the Summer Game Fest. Activision revealed that it will include all of the levels from both games and that both Create-a-Skater and Create-a-Park will be making a comeback.
In an interview with GameSpot, Vicarious Visions’ Jennifer Oneal said that while Remastered won’t have microtransactions at launch, it’s possible that certain paid content could come to the game post-launch.
The skating game that started it all is set to launch on the PC through Epic Games, the PS4, and the Xbox One on September 4. It is currently up for pre-order, with the collector’s edition including a sweet limited-edition full-sized skateboard.
