The console features a black exterior that is trimmed in red and will feature a matching Wii Remote Plus controller and Nunchuk.  The United States version of the Wii Mini will also include a copy of Mario Kart Wii as part of the bundle.

The Wii Mini is a redesigned version of the Wii but Nintendo has removed some of the functionality from the system.  There will be no online capability with the Wii Mini and Nintendo has removed the backward compatibility so Gamecube games cannot be played on the Wii Mini.  With that being said, the console does not have any Gamecube controller inputs.

The main drawback for the Wii Mini is that the console will not feature component cables or a s-video output, so the console will only output standard definition.

In the console’s defense, the Wii Mini is intended to promote to low-cost gaming and could be a great way to purchase a Wii.  The console looks sharp and the price tag could definitely draw some interest towards the Wii Mini.

What is your opinion on the Wii Mini?  Would this be a console that you would be willing to spend $99 on if given the chance?  Let me know what you think in the Comments below!
